Dear AIS members,
as Editor-in-Chief I would like to present you the new design science-oriented and double blind peer-reviewed e-journal "Business & Information Systems Engineering" (BISE).
BISE has its roots in the journal WIRTSCHAFTSINFORMATIK, which became the central publication of the German-language BISE community during the last 50 years. From now on, both journals appear identically in German and English in the sense of a cover-to-cover translation. On the occasion of WIRTSCHAFTSINFORMATIK's 50th anniversary, the editorial board and Gabler Publishing developed together with the industry partners Allianz, Commerzbank, IBM, McKinsey, SAP, and T-Labs a comprehensive internationalization strategy with WIRTSCHAFTSINFORMATIK and BISE at ist core. Thereby, we establish a unique platform for design science-oriented research and the entire techno-economically oriented scientific community!
I would like to invite you to discover BISE. You will find interesting content about the issues 1/2009 and 2/2009 - with contributions e.g. by Al Hevner and Ken Kraemer - as well as about the journal's profile and editorial board within our preprint, which is available on the journal's website http://www.bise-journal.org.
In order to make BISE widely known as quick as possible, all of its contents are currently available without any restrictions via
At some point in the future, the access will be restricted except for institutions with authorization - which fortunately includes most institutions in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, etc. I will inform you precisely about any changes.
Please feel free to distribute the links to the preprint and to SpringerLink within your personal network.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Best regards yours
Uli Buhl
