Conference Theme and Tracks
We are pleased to invite you to the Eighth International Conference on Mobile Business (ICMB 2009). ICMB has been running annually since 2002 and has become one of the most important scientific conferences in the field of mobile business. This is the first time that the ICMB series come to Asia. The theme of ICMB 2009 is Exploring the Impact of Mobile Business on Industries and Society. The conference will bring together mobile business leaders, researchers, vendors, business managers, and policy makers from both the East and the West. The conference tracks are as follows:
. Emerging Theories on Mobile Business . Mobile Business Models, Strategies, and Value Creation . Innovative Mobile Applications, Services, and Case Studies . Emerging Mobile Business Technologies . Security and Privacy in Mobile Business . Mobile Business in Asia and China . Industry Applications of Mobile Business
Proceedings and Publications
The ICMB 2009 conference proceedings will be published by the IEEE Computer Society and all papers in the proceedings will be indexed in EI Compendex, ISTP, and IEEE Xplore. High quality papers will be recommended for special issues that have been agreed with the International Journal of Electronic Commerce (SCI Index) and the Journal of Global Information Management (SSCI Index).
Conference Venue
The conference will be held at the International Conference Center of Dalian University of Technology (DUT). DUT is located in the beautiful coastal city of Dalian, which is only one hour flight away from Beijing, the capital of China. Dalian International Airport has direct flights to Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong and many major international and Chinese cities. Known for its pleasant climate, scenic mountains and beaches, Dalian is a world famous tourist and vacation resort city. In 2001, Dalian was named one of the "World's 500 Best Environment Cities." It is the only city in China and one of only two cities in Asia so honored. Dalian is a center of tourism, finance and information in northern China. It has highly developed software and other high-tech industries, and more than 60 of the global 500 companies have invested in Dalian.
