Please mark your calendar for an important event on March 24 through March 26, 2002 in Atlanta, GA.
The event is the First Annual Global Software Outsourcing Conference organized by the Center for Global Outsourcing. Please check the conference website at

At this time, an important DEADLINE of September 21, 2001 is fast appraching. Please send a one page proposal by e-mail (attached file). I have aleady received a few proposals.
We invite practitioners (clients and vendors of global software outsourcing), government officials from different countries, and researchers to submit proposals for practitioner papers, research papers, panel discussions, workshops, and keynote speeches related to Global Software and e-Commerce Solutions Outsourcing . In submitting the papers and proposals, please bear in mind that:
a) The deadline for submission of all proposals (about one page long) is September 21, 2001. These should be submitted as softcopies in ASCII format (MS-Word is preferred). Each proposal should not exceed three double spaced pages.
b) Blind review comments on proposals will be provided by September 30, 2001 c) Completed papers will be submitted by October 26, 2001 d) Blind review comments on papers will be provided by November 30, 2001 e) Three best papers will be published in the
Winter, 2002 Special Issue on Global Software Outsourcing of the Journal of Information Technology Cases and Applications.
This special issue will be available to the conference registrants.
f) The conference presentation will be made in front of the international conference attendees. g) In case of joint authorship, at least one of the authors must attend the conference. h) Papers and proposals will be included in conference proceedings which will be available at the conference registrants and also made available for sale worldwide.
