TRACK DESCRIPTION:
Educating IT professionals concerning Global issues is becoming increasingly important. Domestic firms are doing more global outsourcing and using immigration more often to fill IT positions. Moreover, inside MNEs, global software teams are the norm.
On the other hand, teaching global issues is very difficult. So far, there are no textbooks and few case or reading texts available. The material is highly dynamic because the IT world is constantly changing as well as the global environment. It is therefore, very important for IT Educators to share teaching practices and materials with each other.
This track focuses on issues concerning the delivery of Global IT education to students at all levels and in every type of institution. It also provides an avenue to discuss many issues related to this expanding field. Papers in this track can be research oriented but best practices, international case projects and other pedagogical material are also welcomed. Panels and workshops are highly encouraged.
