The 16th Pacific-Asia Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (PAKDD-2012), 29 May - 1 June, 2012, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia http://pakdd2012.pakdd.org/
The following exciting workshops will be held in conjunction with the PAKDD 2012 conference. Authors of selected outstanding papers from the workshops will be invited to submit extended versions of their papers in a LNCS/LNAI workshop post-proceedings to be published by Springer.

PAKDD 2012 will be held in Kuala Lumpur, which is the capital and the largest city of Malaysia. The city proper, making up an area of 243 sq km (94 sq mi), has a population of 1.4 million as of 2010. Greater Kuala Lumpur, also known as the Klang Valley, is an urban agglomeration of 7.2 million. It is the fastest growing metropolitan region in the country, in terms of population and economy. Rated as an alpha world city, Kuala Lumpur is the cultural, financial and economic centre of Malaysia. Since the 1990s, the city has played host to many international sporting, political and cultural events including the 1998 Commonwealth Games and the Formula One World Championship. In addition, Kuala Lumpur is home to the tallest twin buildings in the world, the Petronas Twin Towers, which have become an iconic symbol of Malaysia's futuristic developments.
