2nd International Workshop on (Multi-)Agent Systems in E-Business: Concepts, Technologies and Applications - MASeBÂ’2007 --------------------------------------------------------------
Workshop within the framework of WI / IAT / GrC / BIBM 2007 conferences November 2-5, 2007. Silicon Valley, USA
http://software.ucv.ro/~badica_costin/maseb2007/
Call for Papers --------------- Main achievements of software agent technology include frameworks and platforms based on standardized languages and architectures for agent systems development. Implemented agent systems are claimed to have attractive features like adaptivity, intelligence, autonomy and mobility. Modern e-business systems pose difficult problems concerning costs reduction, profitability and efficiency improvement, interoperability and decision-making thus making them a fertile and rich real-world environment for the application and experimentation of software agents. Difficult research challenges involve the adaptation of relevant agent theories, technologies and tools to the tight requirements of the new generation e-business systems.
List of workshop topics covers the following aspects of (multi-)agent systems research: - Concepts, methodologies, models and architectures - Technologies, frameworks, benchmarking and performances - Languages and algorithms - Applications and experiences connected to relevant areas of modern e-business: - Trading and e-commerce - Manufacturing and logistics - Tourism and travel - Negotiation and contracting - Supply chain management and cross-enterprise interoperability - Business process management and re-engineering - Marketing and customer relations management - Content provision, digital rights management and intellectual property - Trust, reputation and security
Papers acceptance will be judged based on their relevance to the workshop themes, clarity of presentation, originality and accuracy of results and proposed solutions.
Previous Edition ---------------- First edition of MASeB workshop was organized during WI/IAT'2006 conference in Hong Kong. Information can be found at: http://software.ucv.ro/~badica_costin/maseb2006/
Paper Submission and Publication -------------------------------- All accepted papers will be included in the Workshop Proceedings, which will be published by IEEE Computer Society Press and will be available at the workshops. Papers must have 4 pages (+1 extra page with payment) and must be formatted according to IEEE Computer Society style. Submission will be handled by a system provided by organizers of WI/IAT/GrC/BIBM 2007.
