Plus selected papers will be published in :
ACM SIGCAS early 2009. or International Journal of Information Systems and Social Change (IJISSC) or, International Journal of Sustainable Society (IJSSoc)
By request we are offering a dedicated track to practitioners, educators and researchers in Computing, IS, IT and/or ICT to submit abstracts to our conference on Sustainability in SE Asia. 13-15 December.
Abstracts are required by 3 October 2008 - This Friday.
Computing continues to underpin development and societal progress and as a pervasive science influences our impact and ability to affect our footprint on this earth. As stated in the opening paragraph of the *Joint Task Force for Computing Curricula 2005*, A cooperative project of The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), The Association for Information Systems (AIS) and The Computer Society (IEEE-CS). "Computing has dramatically influenced progress in science, engineering, business, and many other areas of human endeavor. and those who work in computing will have a crucial role in shaping the future".
It is in the above accepted facets of our profession that this track offers the opportunity to present and publish contributions that lift the contribution computing, IT , IS or ICT has to sustainable life on this planet.
If you are doing any work relating Computing, IT, IS or ICT to Sustainability issues then please send us an abstract of your research or case study.
