The 31st Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS 2020) will be held in Wellington. It will take place from 1st – 4th December 2020. The conference theme of ACIS 2020 is “Navigating our digital future”. We now call for track proposals.

1) Topics for Track Proposals We welcome both established and emerging topics that draw significant attention within IS research. We aim for a total of 10-12 tracks. A list of tentative topics for which we look for proposals are below. Further topics are welcome. Topics need to be broad enough to attract a sufficient number of submissions.

* Digital Innovation, Digital Work and Digital Transformation * Data Analytics and Decision-Making * Crowds, Social Media and Digital Collaboration * Agile, Project Management and IS Development * Design and design science in IS * Sustainability and IS (possibly as virtual track) * HCI, user experience and human centred IS * IS Philosophy and Research Methodology * IS Security, IS Privacy and IS Ethics * Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning * Openness and IT * Health Information Systems * IS Education

2) Track Chair Responsibilities We cordially invite fellow researchers to propose tracks on their particular field of interest. Each track is to be organised by a minimum of two and a maximum of three chairs. At least one member of the co-chair team for each track should possess a sufficient level of academic seniority, in terms of being recognized in the field (of the track), e.g. through publications, as well as having editorial experience. Furthermore, we seek a balanced composition of the track chair team in terms of gender, academic level and location. Membership of international co-chairs is encouraged. The co-chairs should come from at least two different universities. The responsibilities as a track chair will be to:

1. Liaise with the ACIS 2020 program chairs; 2. Promote the track and take sufficient measures to ensure an adequate number of submissions; 3. Source reviewers and organise the review process. 4. Propose to the program committee the papers that will eventually be accepted for inclusion into the conference program; nominate papers for awards; the final decision rests with the program chairs 5. At least one of the track co-chairs should attend ACIS 2020 and serve as a point of contact for the session chairs in the respective track. 6. Please note that track chairs cannot submit to their own track. They can submit to the General Track of the conference, where their papers will be reviewed.

3) Structure of Track proposals 1. A title for the track (less than 15 words) – as per the list above or if not there, the new title with a justification and explanation of why the track would attract an audience. 2. Names, e-mail and mailing addresses, affiliations, phone numbers, URLs of the website of each of the track co-chairs. Please designate one of the co-chairs as the primary contact person. 3. A short description of the track and its focus (maximum length: 200 words and about 10 potential suggested topics): define the proposed area of research; discuss the topics the track will address. 4. Short bios (less than 100 words) of each co-track chair including your track record (if any) in organising tracks, or in other academic services in the IS community. Track chairs are encouraged to make fast track or special issue arrangements with leading journals that fit the topic of the track.

4) Evaluation Each proposal will be evaluated by the ACIS 2020 program chairs in cooperation with the conference chairs. Decisions will be based on (a) the overall merit of the proposal, (b) the significance of the subject, (c) the profile and diversity of the track team (including seniority, location, and gender); and the (d) fit with the conference theme. Tracks will be selected with the objective of balancing traditional IS topics with emerging topics while supporting the diversity of chairs. If needed, proposals might be merged for the best possible coverage of topics and the best mix of track chairs. Please note that to ensure diversity of track topis, the ACIS 2020 program chairs might approach you with suggestions to modify the proposal. In case there are proposals for similar topics, the committee might ask you to consider joining forces (but the maximum of three chairs remains).
