------- Objectives of the “Handbook of Research on Cyber Crime and Information Privacy”
The handbook intends to collect the most recent research in cyber-crime activities and approaches, developments, practical examples and case studies, together with the counterpart of cyberspace security developments, personal and global privacy, information assurance, protection and ICT Law, in all the embraced dimensions.
------- Target Audience
The target audience of this book will be composed of professionals and researchers working in the field of computer forensics, security, cyber-crime and privacy and to an academic audience (teachers, researchers and students, mainly of post-graduate studies).
------- Recommended topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Methodologies, technologies and approaches in cyber-crime (hacking and exploit); - Risks and threats (malware, spyware, phishing, viruses…); - Psychological and behavioural approaches (training, sensibilization); - Multidisciplinary developments in investigation technologies and cyber security developments; - Crime detection, prevention and investigation; security aspects; combat of abuses; - Protection against leakage of information/knowledge; - Surveillance techniques and technology; - Legal issues and trends in information security regulation; - Human, social and organizational privacy and information protection; - New threats (social networks); - Examples and case studies.
------- Submission procedure
Authors are invited to submit on or before January 31, 2020 a chapter proposal / extended abstract, with around 300 to 500 words length, and will be notified about the evaluation of the proposal within around three days upon its submission. Authors of accepted chapter proposals are then invited to develop the full chapter, to be submitted on or before March 6, 2020. Authors will be notified by April 3 about the status of their proposal and receive comments from the review process. Final chapters (camera ready) are due from authors until April 17, 2020.
Please note that the sooner you submit your chapter proposal and receive its approval, the more time you have to develop the full chapter.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this publication.
