The 9th Annual World Congress on the Management of eBusiness will provide a unique forum for researchers and practitioners to come together to present, discuss and review recent, ground-breaking research results on the deployment and use of information technologies and services for eBusiness. By providing a forum for healthy dialogue and discussion between practitioners and researchers, this conference promises to inform eBusiness practice, establish research directions, and facilitate future research collaborations. This conference would be of high interest and relevance to researchers interested in disseminating eBusiness research results and to companies seeking to advance their business agendas through professional research. The 2008 Conference will be hosted in Ottawa jointly by the Carleton Research Centre for Technology Management (RCTM) and the McMaster eBusiness Research Centre (MeRC).
The Congress program will consist of invited keynote presentations, opinion-leader roundtables, panel discussions, research paper presentations, poster presentations, a doctoral consortium, forums for practical application of research, breakout workshops and networking opportunities. Special themed tracks for the Congress include: online collaboration, emerging ebusiness models, social networking, eMetrics and web analytics, search and the semantic web, online trust, mobile, B2B commerce, B2C commerce, eGovernment, eHealth, privacy and security, eBusiness case studies and usability and human/computer interaction.
Paper Submission and Important Dates
High-quality papers (previously not published or submitted elsewhere) are welcome. Research papers, which need not be limited to the above special themes, can be conceptual, theoretical, empirical, experimental, or case studies and will be double-blind peer-reviewed by at least two experts of the Program Committee. Accepted papers will be published in full in the CD proceedings of the conference. Prizes will be awarded for the best papers. Selected papers will be published in a special issue of the International Journal of Electronic Business (IJEB).
