“Grid Computing Technologies and Applications”
ISSN: 1991-1424
Overview
Grids are becoming ubiquitous and provide enormous computational potential for science, engineering, medicine, finance, and entertainment. Grid Computing Environments (GCE) has emerged rapidly as an exciting new paradigm including ubiquitous, pervasive, and peer-to-peer computing to provide computing and communication services any time and anywhere. In order to realize their advantages, it requires the grid systems to be suitable for GCE.
This special issue is intended to foster the dissemination of state-of-the-art research in the area of Grid computing technologies including infrastructure, management, security, benchmarking, programming model, business models and novel applications associated with their utilization. Accepted papers are expected to present high level results to solve the application services and various problems in the various grid computing fields.
Topics
Areas of interest for this special issue include the following topics:
- Grid architecture, system, middleware and toolkits
- Theory and practice of grid services and applications
- Resource discovery and allocation, monitoring, scheduling and meta-scheduling in Grids
- Anonymity, anti-censorship, and access control in Grid
- Performance evaluation and modeling, measurement technology for grid hardware and middleware
- Partitioning and Load Balancing Technologies for Grid
- Fundamental theories on grid and cooperative computing
- Service Grid, Service Computing, Web Services and QoS
