Special Session on Web Services Principles and Applications - WSPA 2011
The Special Session on Web Services Principles and Applications (WSPA) aims to become a forum for both researchers and practitioners to exchange the latest fundamental advances in the state of the art and practice of SOA in one of its preferred implementations, namely Web services, identifying emerging research topics, and defining the future of Web-based services. WSPA focus on issues of interoperability and enterprise application integration using web services and encourages authors to submit papers describing original work, including methods, techniques, recent advances, applications and tools.
WSPA 2011 IMPORTANT DATES: Regular Paper Submission: February 14, 2011 Authors Notification: March 1, 2011 Final Paper Submission and Registration: March 14, 2011
Special Session on Semantic Web Applications and Tools - SWAT 2011
The Special Session on Semantic Web Applications and Tools (SWAT) aims to assemble researchers and practitioners from diverse backgrounds together to present problems and solutions and to discuss the state-of-the-art in this area in order to try to identify a vision for future developments in the Semantic Web. Machine-readable metadata enabling automated agents and other software to access the Web more intelligently is growing exponentially every year. This is a rich interdisciplinary area that requires both innovative developments in the areas of knowledge representation including descriptive logics, using languages such as RDF or OWL, and web applications with a focus on interoperability, driven by the need to develop internet-based information systems with an explicit domain ontology. SWAT invites quality papers describing original research ideas and new findings on technological aspects of the semantic web, in particular papers describing methods, techniques, recent adva! nces, applications and tools.
SWAT 2011 IMPORTANT DATES: Regular Paper Submission: February 14, 2011 Authors Notification: March 1, 2011 Final Paper Submission and Registration: March 14, 2011
Special Session on e-Business - SSeB 2011
The Special Session on e-Business (SSeB) aims to bring together researchers and practitioners working on the e-Business domain. "e-business" may be defined as the application of information and communication technologies (ICT) in support of all the activities of business. This is an active area of research with technical innovations being introduced every day but it is also an important opportunity to identify applications involving business models and business processes spanning the entire value chain: electronic purchasing and supply chain management, marketing, customer relationship management and new ways of cooperating with business partners, including virtual enterprises. The special session will offer the opportunity to fill the gap between academic researchers and practitioners. The authors are invited to submit their research contributions and case-studies. This special session provides an opportunity to present state-of-art research and development related with e-b! usiness and also to come up-to-date on important issues involved in the enhancement of e-business in the enterprise setting.

Special Session on Web and Text Mining - WTM 2011
The Special Session on Web and Text Mining (WTM) is a forum for researchers and practitioners who are concerned with exploring large unstructured or semi-structured data repositories, such as webpages and emails, using intelligent tools that can be used to extract useful information, using technologies from diverse knowledge areas such as machine learning, pattern recognition, natural language processing or statistics, involving multi-dimensional document analysis. Topics of interest include clustering and classification, using statistical or syntactic methods, semantic networks, fuzzy systems and inference, applied to knowledge discovery in unstructured documents, in any domain of application, such as business, biomedical, academic, for any purpose, such as web user profiling, recommender systems, email organization and processing, security, etc. Authors are invited to submit their research contributions and case-studies. This special session provides an opportunity to present state-of-art research and development tools related to web and text mining and also to come up-to-date on important issues involved in knowledge discovery and information retrieval.
