Dear colleagues, please consider submitting your work to the ECIS 2023 track "Designing and Managing Digital Services and Service Systems".
This track aims to integrate research perspectives from service science and information systems (IS) and we invite scholars to submit their work at the intersection of digital technology and service. We are interested in work anchored in any research paradigm and methodology that uncovers how value co-created with the involvement of advanced digital technology can lead to higher levels of economic, ecologic, or social sustainability. This can be achieved through any research topic relevant to digital technology in service, including how service systems can be enabled by AI, the role and integration of humans and technology in future service systems, engineering and modelling methods for services, and more.
Service science is interdisciplinary in nature, and we welcome submissions embracing diverse research paradigms and using a variety of approaches including qualitative, quantitative, empirical and design-oriented. Conceptual or theoretical contributions that serve to better understand all kinds of services and service systems are also welcome.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to: - Sustainable, inclusive, and empowering services - Service systems enabled by AI or hybrid intelligence - Value co-creation at an individual, team, organizational, or societal level - Engineering and modelling of services and service systems - Service modularization and modular service structures - Sociotechnical design of work and service systems - Digital innovation in services and service systems - The role and integration of humans and technology in future service systems - Service platforms, markets, networks, and ecosystems - Services in the Metaverse and AR/VR/MR environments - Data-driven and digital services and service business models - Conversational agents, service robots and artificial intelligence in service provision - Service process management - Human-centered service design and provision - Methods, models and tools for service innovation and design
***Paper submission deadline: November 17, 2022***
