*Call for Papers: European Journal of Information Systems (EJIS) Special Issue on Philosophy and the Future of the IS field*

Dear colleagues, A quick reminder for everyone and especially for those who are working on submitting to the EJIS Special issue on Philosophy and the IS field, the closing date for submission is in two weeks (June 30th). If anyone is interested and would like to talk to a Guest Editor, as one of the Guest Editors, I am also attending ECIS. Look out for me during the Gala Dinner for a chat. This special issue welcomes contributions to an area in the IS field that has brought among its most cited, and most interesting and insightful studies. EJIS offers an opportunity for current and new thinkers to analyze existing dilemmas, introduce new ideas, uncover hidden assumptions, shape future directions. The relevance of philosophy in IS is well-known and this Special Issue seeks to not only raise the level of philosophical discourse, but also connect directly to the demands and concerns of both the IS field and of society as a whole.

Philosophical papers can take the form of, but are not limited to, theory, conceptual development, essays, logical argumentation, reviews, scientometric research, interpretive, hermeneutic, grounded theory, discourse or content analysis. Submissions may address the following topic areas but need not be limited to them:

Metaphysics and ontology -Philosophy of information -Philosophy of technology -Philosophy of design -Process ontology -Non-dualist ontologies -Informational systems or systems of information -Rethinking the provenance of organizational sciences -Rethinking use, success, and other core concerns of IS
