Submission deadline: January 23, 2006 Workshop proposals due: February 1, 2006 Tutorial proposals due: February 1, 2006 Notification of acceptance: March 24, 2006 Final Manuscript due: April 21, 2006 ICPS06 Conference dates: June 26-29, 2006
Conference scope ------------------
Pervasive services and computing are emerging as the next computing paradigm in which infrastructure and services are seamlessly available anywhere, anytime, and in any format. This exciting new paradigm is the result of recent research and technological advances in wireless & sensor networks, distributed systems, mobile & agent computing and autonomic computing & services. The 2006 IEEE International Conference on Pervasive Services (ICPS?06), to be held in Lyon, France provides a forum for researchers, engineers, application & service developers and users to present their latest advances in the field of pervasive computing and services.
Topics
Original contributions are solicited in all pervasive computing & services research and applications. Contributions for industry and application sessions are also solicited. Topics include, but are not limited to:
- Pervasive and autonomous computing and architectures - Mobile Computing - Wearable Computing - Smart Devices and Networks - Wireless & Sensor Networks - Middleware support for pervasive and mobile computing - Pervasive computing and Management - Speech processing / advanced computer vision - User interfaces and interaction model - Positioning and Tracking Technologies - Programmable and active networks - Service dissemination and discovery protocols - Environments & algorithms for pervasive application development - Runtime support for intelligent, adaptive agents - Security services for applications in pervasive environments - Programming paradigms for pervasive computing applications - Pervasive computing applications requirements - Performance measurement and Benchmarking - Context aware computing and networking - Pervasive Grids
Paper Submission ------------------
ICPS2006 invites authors to submit original and unpublished work. Please submit full papers (10 pages maximum in IEEE double-column format). Paper submission should be electronic in PS or PDF format. Questions concerning hardcopy submissions or any other issues may be directed to the Program Chair at icps2006@listes.ens-lyon.fr. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper.
Tutorials And workshops ------------------------
Tutorial and workshop proposals are solicited. Further information can be obtained by contacting the Tutorials Chair Kun Yang (kunyang@essex.ac.uk), the Workshops Chair Claudia Roncancio (Claudia.Roncancio@imag.fr ), or the Program Committee Chairs Laurent Lefevre (laurent.lefevre@inria.fr) and Jean-Marc Pierson ( jean-marc.pierson@insa-lyon.fr).
Proceedings ------------
The conference proceedings will be published by IEEE Computer Society Press and distributed at the conference. Selected papers of best quality will be published in a special issue of the Journal of Pervasive Computing and Communications (JPCC) in late 2006.
