IEEE Workshop on Resource Sharing in Massively Distributed Systems
July 2, 2002 Vienna, Austria

The 22nd International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems (ICDCS-2002)
------------------------------------------------------------------ SCOPE
The purpose of this one-day workshop is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners from industry and academia to discuss issues related to resource sharing in massively distributed systems. Contributions of interest will address topics related to, but not limited by, the following:
* Dependability in massively distributed systems * Security mechanisms * Resource discovery * Scalability issues * Infrastructure issues * Relation to content distribution networks * Applications for massively distributed systems * Communication and computing paradigms * Self-organizing information systems * Impact of internet topology * Infrastructure services for self-organizing systems * Modeling and design of massively distributed systems

Papers due: Feb 14, 2002 Notification of acceptance: Mar 14, 2002 Camera-ready copies due: Mar 31, 2002 Workshop date: July 2, 2002
PAPER SUBMISSION DETAILS
Authors are invited to submit extended abstracts no longer than 6 pages in IEEE proceedings style describing original, previously unpublished work.
All submitted papers will be reviewed by the program committee. Accepted papers will be published by IEEE Computer Society Press. At least one author of an accepted paper is expected to attend the workshop in order to present the work. Moreover, workshop participants must register to the main conference (ICDCS-2002).
The authors are requested to send extended abstracts to Fernando Pedone (pedone@hpl.hp.com) no later than February 14, 2002 as postscript or PDF file. A cover page including paper title, author names and addresses, keywords, and an abstract should also be sent in a separate e-mail.
