*Submissions Deadline Approaching: December 16, 2003 USENIX Annual Technical Conference, June 27-July 2, 2004, Boston, MA Besides the General and FREENIX sessions, two new Special Interest Group (SIG) Sessions are seeking participation
UseLinux: Its focus will be on showcasing ways in which creative members of the Linux community are making use of Linux on the desktop, in embedded applications, in corporate data centers, in retail environments, and more. *LISA '03: Despite raging wildfires and smoke-filled courtyards, LISA '03 in San Diego emerged as a very successful conference. Over 1,100 people took part in the 6-day event. Highlights included a rousing keynote by EBay's Paul Kilmartin, director of availability and engineering; a popular SPAM mini-symposium; and an entertaining Halloween party. Special thanks to all the attendees and speakers who braved unfavorable conditions to make this year's conference a success.
