Call for Papers - AMCIS 2016, San Diego, CA Information Systems Security, Assurance and Privacy (SIGSEC) Track Minitrack: Security and Privacy for the Internet of Things (IoT) The Internet of Things (IoT) has made it easier for various devices to collect and share data through various communication networks. The increased use and application of such devices in personal, commercial and industrial settings creates many security-related challenges. Considering the constant collection and exchange of large amounts of data, ensuring confidentiality and privacy is of utmost concern. As an emerging trend with such significant influence, research is needed to better understand the security and privacy implications of IoT and cyber-physical systems in general. Such research typically requires a multidisciplinary approach incorporating a variety of areas such as information systems, computer science, law, finance, data analytics, GIS, telecommunications, etc. The Security and Privacy for the Internet of Things (IoT) AMCIS 2016 minitrack aims to bring together researchers from various disciplines and demonstrate new approaches and strategies to improve the secure op eration of cyber-physical systems. Topics covered by the minitrack include but are not limited to

* Tools, techniques, and algorithms to secure cyber-physical systems

* Risks and vulnerabilities of IoT

* Issues related to IoT hardware and software

* Potential for privacy breaches

* Big data generated from IoT - use and misuse

* Storage management challenges related to IoT data

* Impact of IoT on servers and data centers

* IoT - concerns for enterprises and individuals

* IoT security and privacy implications for the government

* Theoretical foundations of securing cyber-physical systems Submission deadlines:

* January 4, 2016: Manuscript submissions for AMCIS 2016 begin
