Dear colleagues,
1. A special issue on FRANCHISING and RETAILING will be published in the JOURNAL of RETAILING (DEADLINE for submission: September 30, 2009. Details can be found under: http://www.elsevier.com/framework_products/promis_misc/7949.pdf.
2. Edited BOOK from the EMNet 2009: The best papers of the very successful EMNet-2009 conference in Sarajevo (see http://emnet.univie.ac.at) are published in the edited BOOK: "New Developments in the Theory of Networks: Franchising, Cooperatives and Alliances". The editors of the book are M. Tuunanen, G. Cliquet, G. Hendrikse, J. Windsperger. The publication is planned for the spring 2010 from Springer Verlag.
Publication and Review Process of the BOOK: We want to inform you that the following procedures will be applied for the edited book: a. Please send the final version of the paper by September 20 to Josef Windsperger (josef.windsperger@univie.ac.at). b. The paper for the BOOK should not exceed 20 pages. c. Primarily we assume that all participants intend to submit the conference paper for publication. Therefore, if we do not get any message from you by October 1, 2009 that you do not want to publish the paper in the book, we include the paper in the first round of the review process. d. In the first round of the review process a preliminary selection of 20 papers will chosen for the BOOK by the end of October 2009. e. These 20 papers are subjected to a second round double-blind review process. The review process is completed by the end of January 2010. f. The book will be published in summer 2010.
