SCOPE
======
The Evolving Security and Privacy Requirements Engineering (ESPRE)
Workshop is a multi-disciplinary, one-day workshop. It brings
together practitioners and researchers interested in security and
privacy requirements.
ESPRE probes the interfaces between Requirements Engineering and
Security and Privacy, and aims to evolve security and privacy
requirements engineering to meet the needs of stakeholders; these
range from business analysts and security engineers, to technology
entrepreneurs and privacy advocates.
ESPRE will be run as a one-day workshop (online). The workshop
format will consist of an invited talk, paper presentations and
discussions, and a facilitated roadmap building session.
ESPRE is suited towards attendees with interests not only in
Requirements Engineering, but also in security, privacy, user
experience, software engineering, system of systems engineering,
and other related areas.
Topics include but are not limited to:
- Adaptation of security and privacy requirements
- Elicitation and analysis techniques
- Evolution of security and privacy requirements
- Legal compliance in security and privacy RE
- Leveraging Domain knowledge
- Modelling trust and risk
- Ontologies for security and privacy RE
- Scalability of security RE approaches
- Security and privacy RE and [Sec]DevOps
- Security and privacy RE for design innovation
- Security and privacy RE education
- Security and privacy RE processes
- Stakeholder and Attacker perspectives
- Studies applying security and privacy RE
- Validation and verification
KEY DATES
=========
Full paper submissions: 24 June 2021
Camera-ready copies: 12th August 2021
Workshop: 20th-24th September 2021
Deadline are AOE.
SUBMISSION
==========
Contributions will be evaluated for their relevance to the
workshop topics and will be blind reviewed by at least three PC
members.
Papers should be submitted in PDF format. The results described
must be unpublished and must not be under review elsewhere.
Submissions must conform to IEEE format and should not exceed 6
pages, including all text, figures, references, and appendices.
Authors should consult IEEE authors’ guidelines and use their
proceedings templates, either for LaTeX or Word, for the
preparation of their papers. In addition, the corresponding author
of each paper, acting on behalf of all of the authors of that
paper, must complete and sign a Consent-to-Publish form. The
corresponding author signing the copyright form should match the
corresponding author marked on the paper. Once the files have been
sent to Springer, changes relating to the authorship of the papers
cannot be made.
