The BITWorld Conference is open to all interested scholars, professionals and practitioners who are researching in the areas of information technologies and their applications on business, management, education, health, systems and society. We invite you to present the results of your research, or research-in-progress at the BITWorld 2002 Conference (or just come to hear the discussions, and experience the excitement of real global research 'at the center of the World'). Along with members and friends of BITWorld, we welcome researchers new to, or interested in, intensive research in IS.

BITWorld is endorsed by AIS/ICIS, IRMA and UKAIS to bring the theory and practice of Business IT Management to interesting places that are not on the usual conference circuit. Previous international venues have included Delhi (1998), Cape Town (1999), Mexico City (2000),  and Cairo (2001)

Submissions:

To present, please submit a 500-word abstract of your work to the program co-chair below, by 25 January 2002. We anticipate that submitters will be given about 10-15 minutes to present their work to the assembled group, which is followed by 5-10 minutes for questions from the audience. The exact timing and review process will depend on
the number of abstracts received. We will accept late submissions on a space-available basis. For more information about formatting of abstracts and papers, please visit the site below.

All attendees and presenters will be required to register. We will provide pre-registration (at a discount) as well as registration at the door. Details are being provided daily on the

Time and place: The Conference will be held in the ESPOL and Malecón 2000 Auditoriums, in Guayaquil – Ecuador, South America. From Monday June 3 to Wednesday June 5, 2002.
