Soft-Ware 2002: Computing in an Imperfect World 8-10 April, Odyssey Conference Centre, Belfast
"Face life as it is, not as you would like it to be"

This new conference is devoted to the effective handling of uncertain, incomplete information and knowledge in designing computing systems. It spans a number of subject areas, including artificial intelligence, software engineering, systems engineering, and information systems. The keynote speakers, Dr.Piero Bonissone, Professor Sir Tony Hoare, Professor Michael Jackson, Professor Derek McAuley and Professor Ray Paul represent the breadth of the field.
The conference has a strong industrial focus. This is reflected in the keynote presentations, the composition of authors on the technical papers, the sponsorship for the event and the inclusion of a session taking an industrial perspective on soft issues.
Hope to see you there!
Dave Bustard Conference Chair
