We would like to hear from IS faculty whose areas have been combined
with operations management.  We are specifically interested in
‘marriages’ that sought genuine synergies between the two fields,
rather than simple administrative efficiencies.  What kinds of courses
were subsequently developed and offered by the IS faculty involved?
How did the collaboration serve students in preparing for the job
market?  (Or did it?)  Anything else you can offer about the potential
advantages (and drawbacks) will be greatly appreciated.
