Green and sustainable IT refers energy efficient and Eco-friendly IT
systems that ensure greater endurance of business and society. It is a
major future concern, since coming future will compete for scares resources
and global warming challenges. Thus, the book “Handbook of Research on
Green and Sustainable IT Systems” is an initiative to help corporations and
policy makers to adopt or make Information Technology environmental
friendly, and harness its power to make organizational processes green and
sustainable. This call is for and invites to those who want to explore
different theoretical and/or empirical perspectives and methodologies on
green and sustainable IT systems in business and organization. The book
“Handbook of Research on Green and Sustainable IT Systems” in order to
achieve its objectives would focus on concepts, frameworks and case studies
leading to enhance understanding about the underlying issues and cutting
edge researches in this area. This will enhance awareness and decision
making of practitioners, policy makers and scholars to choose or suggest IT
systems for meeting sustainability objectives.

The objectives of the book:

- To make IT sustainable Ethical and frugal.
- To use the IT power to usher sustainability in other parts of the
organization.
- To promote scholarship and research in the area of green and
sustainable IT in business and organizations.

*Submission Procedure*Management faculties, researchers and practitioners
are invited to submit on or before *June 30, 2019* a chapter proposal of
ranging *1000-1500 words* clearly explaining how the proposal fits into the
book’s objective and scope. Authors will be notified within a week about
the status of their proposals. Full chapters are expected to be submitted
by *Sept. 12, 2019*. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a
double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as
reviewers for this project.
