------------------------------------------------------------------------ Call for Papers and Workshop Proposals The 2008 IEEE International Symposium on Parallel and Distributed Processing with Applications (ISPA-08)
December 10-12, 2008 Sydney, AUSTRALIA http://www.cs.usyd.edu.au/~ispa2008/
Introduction ====================
Following the traditions of previous successful ISPA conferences, ISPA-03 (held in Aizu-Wakamatsu City, Japan), ISPA-04 (held in Hong Kong), ISPA-05 (held in Nanjing, China), ISPA-06 (held in Sorrento, Italy) and ISPA-07 (held in Niagara Falls, Canada), the objective of ISPA-08 is to provide a forum for scientists and engineers in academia and industry to exchange and discuss their experiences, new ideas, research results, and applications about all aspects of parallel and distributed computing and networking. It will feature session presentations, workshops, tutorials and keynote speeches. ISPA-08 is sponsored by IEEE CS Technical Committee on Scalable Computing and IEEE Computer Society.
Scope and Interests ====================
The Conference invites papers on all aspects of Parallel/Distributed Computing and Networking, and their applications. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Computer networks Network routing and communication algorithms Parallel/distributed system architectures Tools and environments for software development Parallel/distributed algorithms Distributed systems and applications Wireless networks, mobile and pervasive computing Reliability, fault-tolerance, and security Performance evaluation and measurements Grid and cluster computing Internet computing and Web services Database applications and data mining High-performance scientific and engineering computing
Submission Information ====================
The conference and workshop proceedings will be published by IEEE CS Press to be indexed by EI. Papers not exceed 15 pages with free layout style should be submitted through: http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ispa08 Submission of a paper should be regarded as a commitment that, if the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors will register and attend the conference. Otherwise papers will be removed from the IEEE CS digital library.
Workshop Proposals ====================
In conjunction with the ISPA-08 conference, several workshops will be held. If you would like to organize a workshop, please submit a workshop proposal including call for paper, organizing committee, important dates, contact person, short bio of the organizers to the ISPA-08 workshop chairs: Dr. Hai Jiang (hjiang@cs.astate.edu) and Dr. Tao Li (taoli@ece.ufl.edu) before February 28, 2008. The detailed guideline can be found at: http://www.cs.usyd.edu.au/~ispa2008/workshops.html Proceedings of the ISPA-08 workshops will be published by IEEE CS Press. The workshops with more than 15 papers will be granted with a free complimentary registration for the leading workshop organizer.
Important Dates ====================
