Agent-Based Computing II - ABC 2005
Distributed ABC... Spanning the World... http://www.cs.siu.edu/~rahimi/abc05
CALL FOR PAPERS
ABC II (Americas) Special Session in conjunction with: The 5th WSEAS International Conference on Information, Communication and Applications, Cancun, Mexico, May 12-15, 2005
ABC II (Europe and Africa) Special Session in conjunction with: Information and Communication Technologies International Symposium, ICTIS'2005, Tetuan, Morocco, June 3-6, 2005
ABC II (Asia and Australia) Special Session in conjunction with: The Ninth International Conference on Knowledge-Based Intelligent Information & Engineering Systems, Melbourne, Australia, September 14 - 16, 2005
Call for Papers:
Agent-based computing has been hailed as the next significant breakthrough in software development, with the potential to affect many aspects of computer science, from artificial intelligence to the technologies and models of distributed computation. Agent-based systems are capable of autonomous action in open, dynamically-changing environments. Agents are currently being applied in domains as diverse as business information systems, computer games and interactive cinema, information retrieval and filtering, user interface design and industrial process control. The aim of the ABC'05 is to bring together researchers and developers from industry and academia in order to report on the latest scientific and technical advances, discuss and debate the major issues, and showcase the latest systems.
The special session welcomes submissions of original papers concerning all aspects of software agents. Submissions involving both implementation and theoretical issues are encouraged. Topics include, but are not limited to, broadly understood:
- Agent architectures - Agent-based software engineering - Agent benchmarking and performances - Agent communication, coordination and cooperation - Agent languages - Agent learning and planning - Agent mobility - Agent modeling, calculi, and logics - Agent security - Applications and Experiences - Simulating and verifying agent systems
Paper Submission:
For paper format and submission please follow the guidelines of the individual conferences:
ABC Americas (Cancun, Mexico): http://www.worldses.org/conferences/2005/mexico/isca/index.html
ABC Europe and Africa (Tetuan, Morocco): http://telecom.uae.ma/ictis/index.htm
ABC Asia and Australia Only (Melbourne, Australia): electronic copies of the papers in Microsoft Word, or PDF format are acceptable for review purposes and must be sent to rahimi@cs.siu.edu. Final accepted Papers must correspond to the requirements detailed in the Instructions to Authors which will be placed on the Conference Web Site http://www.latrobe.edu.au/kes or http://www.kesinternational.org/kes2005/. Please refer to the Springer-Verlag web site for directions on the Final Paper Format which must be strictly followed for all papers that are to appear in the proceedings.
Submission Deadlines: ABC Americas (Cancun, Mexico) : March 31 ABC Europe and Africa (Tetuan, Morocco): April 7 ABC Asia and Australia (Melbourne, Australia): April 15
Post conference publication(s): Extended versions of selected papers will be published in journal(s) and possibly in an edited volume - details will be available soon.
