This minitrack provides a forum for researchers to discuss the design, use and impact of online games and their impact on modern business. We invite research papers that are specifically interested in research on the impact of games and game design on business (e.g. a study that identifies the information system designs of profitable “free-to-play” online games, or research on the economics of the video game education industry) and the use of game-like systems in business activities.
In general, topics of interest for this minitrack include:
- Gamification of business activities - Game design - Psychology of online games - Game business models - Game industry structure and activities - Virtual digital economies
