Fairness & Transparency (CRAFT) Panels, Workshops, Debates,
Unconferences etc event (deadline Sep 12, preregister by Sep 9)
<https://fatconference.org/2020/callforcraft.html>
This is an event (inspired by NeurIPS'
CRACT workshop) for many communities of practice to explore
holistic approaches, critique the field, open future lines of
research, collaboration and practice, and to foster new ways
to counter automated injustices.
The third annual ACM FAT* Conference brings together researchers
and practitioners interested in fairness, accountability, and
transparency in socio-technical systems. The previous two
conferences had acceptance rates of 25% and attracted attendees
from across academia, industry and public policy. FAT* 2020 has 5
submission tracks reflecting its disciplinary diversity, each with
a separate call for papers (but same submission conditions and
dates).
# Track 1: Computer Science #
https://fatconference.org/2020/callforpapers_CS.html
# Track 2: Law #
https://fatconference.org/2020/callforpapers_LAW.html
# Track 3: Social Sciences and Humanities #

# Track 4: Practice and Experience #
https://fatconference.org/2020/callforpapers_PE.html
# Track 5: Education #
https://fatconference.org/2020/callforpapers_EDU.html
We encourage submissions that help bridge between topics and
disciplines in the conference, and which challenge them with new
theory, evidence and perspectives.
# Key CfP Dates #
Full paper submission - Aug 22 2019 (pre-register Aug 15)
Notification date - Oct 31 2019
Conference - Jan 27-30 2020
FAT* is timed around other relevant events, after CPDP in Brussels
and before AAAI in New York.
Papers (8-10 pages) are double-blind peer reviewed and published
in the conference proceedings in the ACM Digital Library. Author
for whom a conference venue is not convenient can also opt for
non-archival submission, subject to the same review process but
only appearing as an abstract in the proceedings.
Please forward this call to other people or groups you think may
be interested.
For more general details, see
https://fatconference.org/2020/callforpapers.html
Note: Please note that as announced at ACM FAT* 2019, ACM FAT*
will be changing its name this year. Please stay tuned for
separate communication about the new name.
