From online search to instant messaging, Parallel and Distributed Systems today are behind almost all the modern information technologies affecting every aspect of our day to day life. Established in 1992, ICPADS has been a major international forum in this exciting area. ICPADS 2010 will be held in Shanghai, China in December 2010, right after the World Expo in Shanghai. The conference provides an international forum for scientists, engineers, and users to exchange and share their experiences, new ideas, and latest research results on all aspects of parallel and distributed systems. Contributions are solicited in all areas of parallel and distributed systems research and applications.
Methodology topics include, but not limited to, the following: - Parallel and Distributed Algorithms and Applications - Multi-core and Multithreaded Architectures - High Performance Computational Biology and Bioinformatics - Power-aware and Green Computing - Resource Management and Scheduling - Peer-to-Peer Computing - Cluster, Grid and Cloud Computing - Web-based Computing and Service-Oriented Architecture - Data Intensive Computing and Data Centre Architecture - Wireless and Mobile Computing - Security and Privacy - Performance Modelling and Evaluation Systems topics include, but not limited to, the following: - Distributed and Parallel Operating Systems - Communication and Networking Systems - Dependable and Trustworthy Systems - Real-Time and Multimedia Systems - Ad Hoc and Sensor Networks - Cyber-Physical Systems - Embedded systems
Submission Information
Submissions should include abstract, 5-10 keywords, and the e-mail address of the corresponding author and be in PDF format. Each submission must not exceed 8 pages in the IEEE 8.5’’ x 11’’ two-column format with 10-12 point font (Template: DOC or PDF), including tables and figures. Each submission should be regarded as an undertaking that, should the submission be accepted, at least one of the authors must register the paper and attend the conference to present the work in order that the accepted paper can be put into digital library. The final version will be limited to 8 pages in IEEE proceeding format for conference papers and 6 pages for workshop papers. Up to 2 extra pages may be purchased.
Publications
Papers accepted for ICPADS 2010 conference and workshops will be published by the IEEE Computer Society Press and distributed to the participants on USB drives only. All accepted papers will be included in IEEE Xplore and indexed by EI. The program committee will select one winner for the Best Paper Award and recommend some papers to a number of international journals.
Information for workshop organizers
ICPADS 2010 will accommodate full-day workshops. These workshops will enable timely important issues to be explored in depth. A workshop proposal should include organizer’s contact information, the workshop title, rationale, coverage, how workshop papers will be evaluated, and experience of past workshops on the same or closely related subjects. Plans for journal publication of selected papers are encouraged.
