Grammars in Evolutionary Computation Congress on Evolutionary Computation Special Session 2008 at the IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence 2-6 June 2008, Hong Kong
Grammars have been used extensively since the inception of Genetic Programming, and have gained increased popularity in recent years with approaches such as CFG-GP, Grammatical Evolution, and TAG3P. The use of Grammars in Evolutionary Computation has not been restricted to Genetic Programming, however, with examples of Evolutionary Grammar Learning and their hybridisation with other approaches such as Ant Colony Optimization, Particle Swarm, and Differential Evolution. For the first time the Grammars in Evolutionary Computation Special Session will bring together researchers interested in all aspects of Grammars in Evolutionary Computation into a single forum.
Scope of Special Session:
We welcome submissions on any aspect of the use of Grammars in Evolutionary Computation including (but not limited to) the following:
* Grammar-based approaches to Genetic Programming * Semantics, Context-Sensitivity and Alternative Grammar Representations * Probabilistic Grammars and Estimation of Distribution Algorithms * Theory and Foundations of Grammars * Hybrid EC and Grammar approaches * Applications of Grammar-based Evolutionary Algorithms * Evolutionary Grammar Learning
Submission Details Please submit papers according to the instructions on the WCCI website: http://www.wcci2008.org/submission.htm Important Dates
* Submission Deadline: 1 December 2007 * Notification of Acceptance: 1 February 2008 * Camera-Ready Papers: 1 March 2008 * Special Session: 2-6 June 2008
