As the president of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA-AIS)
and on behalf of the MENA members, I invite you all to submit
papers for our annual conference, held between November 11-14,
2021, in Agadir, Morocco (hybrid format). This conference is FREE
of charge to all. For more information, please visit

We welcome submissions – either as full or short research papers –
that analyze the equalizing role digital technologies play in
different aspects of contemporary life.
While the theme of this conference reflects research in the MENA
Region; all research topics are welcomed.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
* Information systems solutions during COVID-19
* The impact of COVID-19 on education, industry, individual, and
society
* IS/ IT in the period of crisis: issues and value creation
* Opportunities and challenges of innovative information systems
* Digital learning and online learning platforms during pandemics
* Digital transformation and the future of work
* Digital and social aspects in the digital era
* Ethics and Information Technology
* AI and Soul machines
* IS healthcare
In addition to paper sessions, the conference will include panels
that address navigating an IT career, women in IS, how to publish,
practitioners and IS, among other topics. The panels will be
followed by round-table discussions with senior scholars.
Accepted papers will need to show both relevance and
methodological rigor. The best contributions will be published in
a Springer volume “Lecture Notes in Information Systems and
Organization” series, indexed on Scopus. Top-quality papers will
be invited to a fast-track to the DATA Base for Advances in
Information Systems Journal (Q1, ranked A on the ABDC list).
Another option for journal publication will be IBIMA Business
Review (Q3). Other papers will have the option to be published in
the AIS Library. At least one author for each accepted paper
should attend the conference, presenting her/his contribution.

Scholarships are available to doctoral students whose papers are
