Special Edition "Critical Infrastructure and Cyber Terrorism "
Journal of Information Warfare
It has been over ten years, since the concept of Cyber Terrorism was first put forward. But what has happened since then, have we seen an increase of cyber terrorism or is it more fiction than fact.
This special issue of the Journal of Information Warfare will look at the impact of Cyber Terrorism and Critical Infrastructure and whether the threat is real or not. The special edition will explore the impact of Cyber Terrorism and how it has impacted society, media and government thinking in the twenty first century and the potential threat it poses for the Critical Infrastructure in developing an understanding of the impact of Critical Infrastructure and Cyber Terrorism, papers are sought for a special issue of Journal of Information Warfare.
Such articles might include insights into the aims and roles of Cyber Terrorist groups in the twenty first century in relation to critical infrastructure, the reaction of society to cyber terrorism, whether cyber terrorism is truly a threat, case studies illustrating the impact of the Cyber Terrorism.
Contributed papers may deal with but, are not limited to:
- Critical Infrastructure protection and Cyber Terrorism; - Governments reaction to Cyber Terrorism; - Cyber Terrorism fact or fiction? - Case study examples; - Homeland Security and Cyber Terrorism; - The role of media and Cyber Terrorism.
Research surveys and application papers in the above areas are also welcome. Manuscripts should not exceed 5000 words and figures and illustrations should be kept to a minimum. All contributions are subjected to a double-blind review process.
There should be a separate title page giving the names and addresses of the authors and any other references that reveal the identity of the authors should be removed. A copy of manuscript, following the standard guidelines for the Journal of Information Warfare should be emailed to the guest editor by the 27th April, 2009. The editor for the special issue is:
