Final Call for Papers DESRIST 2017 – 12th
International Conference on Design Science Research in
Information Systems and Technologies
--
Two more weeks until the full paper &
prototype submission deadline: January 30, 2017
--
Theme: Designing the Digital Transformation
Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT),
Germany
May 30 - June 1, 2017
*** THEME ***
The rapid digital transformation of businesses
and society creates new challenges and opportunities for
Information Systems (IS) research with a strong focus on
design. There has been a surge of interest in design
science research in IS in the last few years, and we
conclude that this is now a mature field. The goal of the
design science research paradigm is to extend the boundaries
of human and organizational capabilities by designing new
and innovative constructs, models, methods, processes, and
systems. Scholars having different backgrounds such as
information systems, computer science, software engineering,
energy informatics, and medical informatics are actively
engaged in generating novel solutions to interesting design
problems in IS. With this year’s theme, we hope to focus
attention on design science research on digital
transformation of businesses and society.
*** PARTICIPATION ***
DESRIST 2017 will feature seven selected
themes, in order to stimulate high quality submissions in
important areas of IS research.
1: DSR IN BUSINESS PROCESS MANAGEMENT
2. DSR IN HUMAN COMPUTER INTERACTION
3. DSR IN DATA SCIENCE & BUSINESS ANALYTICS
4: DSR IN SERVICE SCIENCE
5: METHODOLOGICAL CONTRIBUTIONS
6: DOMAIN-SPECIFIC DSR APPLICATIONS
7: EMERGING THEMES AND NEW IDEAS
An additional PRODUCTS and PROTOTYPES track is
intended to showcase implementations of innovative IT
artifacts (i.e., constructs, models, methods). The track
provides an opportunity to demonstrate and discuss emerging
IT artifacts with researchers and practitioners.
The DESRIST DOCTORAL CONSORTIUM provides PhD
students the opportunity to present and discuss their
research projects in a group of peer PhD students and
renowned scholars from our discipline.
