Dear Gustaf Neumann,
Let me kindly inform you that the Int'l Conf. on Computer Supported Education (CSEDU - http://www.csedu.org), to be held in Noordwijkerhout, the Netherlands (6 - 9 May, 2011) is now welcoming the submission of position papers. The submission deadline is scheduled for next January 4th.
A position paper presents an arguable opinion about an issue. The goal of a position paper is to convince the audience that your opinion is valid and worth listening to, without the need to present completed research work and/or validated results. It is, nevertheless, important to support your argument with evidence to ensure the validity of your claims. A position paper may be a short report and discussion of ideas, facts, situations, methods, procedures or results of scientific research (bibliographic, experimental, theoretical, or other) focused on one of the conference topic areas. The acceptance of a position paper is restricted to the categories of "short paper" or "poster", i.e. a position paper is not a candidate to acceptance as "full paper". EQCP
The CSEDU program will include a number of Keynote Lectures to be delivered by distinguished world-class researchers, namely:
- Ivan Ivanov, SUNY Empire State College, U.S.A.
- Rachelle Heller, The George Washington University, U.S.A.
- Lauri Malmi, Aalto University School of Science and Technology, Finland
- Friedrich Hesse, Knowledge Media Research Center, Germany
CSEDU is interested in promoting quality research work, as the acceptance rates implicitly indicate: last year, from 304 submissions, only 109 i.e. 36% of the submitted papers were accepted for oral presentations.
Submitted papers will be subject to a double-blind review process. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, under an ISBN reference, on paper and CD-ROM support.
All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SciTePress Digital Library (http://www.scitepress.org/DigitalLibrary/).
Please check further details at the CSEDU 2011 conference website (http://www.csedu.org). There you will find detailed information about the conference structure and its main topic areas. This conference is co-located with WEBIST 2011 (7th International Conference on Web Information Systems - http://www.webist.org/) and CLOSER 2011 (1st International Conference on Cloud Computing and Services Science - http://www.closer.scitevents.org/). Registration to CSEDU will enable free attendance to any sessions of all co-located events.
Should you have any question or suggestions please don't hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards,
Joao Teixeira
