You are invited to attend the Third International Workshop on Internationalization of Products and Systems (IWIPS2000), at Milton Keynes, UK. Plan now to come in July 2001 to network with colleagues on globalization and localization in industry, government, and academia. The IWIPS workshop series aims to promote awareness of the problems facing international industry and their implications for research and development. In addition to the presentation of papers and the availability of tutorials, the workshop provides a venue for meetings, discussion of results and cooperation at an international level. The Workshop is organized to maximize the exchange of information and ideas among a delegation from across the world. Participants will leave with more knowledge and skills in the area of product and software internationalization and a network of colleagues who are focused on the issues that globalisation creates for the design and production of products and systems.

The Open University campus is situated in South-Eastern Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire, UK. This is close to the main M1 motorway, approximately 40 miles north of London (35 minutes by train). Hotel accommodation is available at Milton Keynes Hilton National Hotel that is adjacent to Walton Hall Campus of the Open University. In addition accommodation is available in a number of local hotels and at the De Montfort University site about 15 minutes walk away. Apart from the workshop itself, additional events will include the workshop dinner at Woburn Abbey, the home of the Dukes of Bedfordshire, which is a few miles from the Walton Hall Campus. Registration includes the cost of the dinner and the Welcome reception.
