Business agility paradigm emerged from agile manufacturing in the
early 90s. Later, Software Engineering embraces this mindset and
practices in the ending 90s (agile manifesto 2001). Systems
Engineering, a few years later but introduced by a top pioneer in
agile manufacturing (Dove 1992; Dove 2005). Remarkable worthy
relevant IT research is the core effort on business agility and
plan-driven -i.e. rigor-oriented - IT capability since the early
2000s (Weill et al. 2002; Sambamurthy et al. 2003). However, the
research on agile ITSM has been largely ignored in the Information
Systems / Information Technology field until the last 5 years
(Verlaine 2017; Mora et al. 2022).
