Call for Papers
Only Two Weeks Left!
Deadline: 29 January 2010

Invitation

The opportunity offered by digital media and social networking leads to the development of new organic learning environments. A major challenge is how to turn these environments into instrumental knowledge?

  • Where do new media take us as educators?
  • What is for teachers and learners the value of being active in new media?
  • What is the validity of knowledge in Web 2.0 - how can we measure recognition and achievement?
  • How do media portray the changing open and distance learning practice?
  • How can we control the potential of media to ensure that they work for all?
  • How are media affecting modes of knowledge organisation?

You are invited to submit proposals (full text, no abstract is required) for presentations in parallel sessions, posters, short demonstrations and workshops, that relate to one or more of the conference themes.

To learn more about the scope of the event and consult the themes, please visit the respective conference pages.

The Conference web-site and the Call for Contributions is open.

Proposals both in English and in Spanish are welcome!

Valencia, situated in the centre of the Spanish Mediterranean coastline, is the third largest city in Spain, containing a dense monumental heritage but its landmark is undoubtedly the City of Arts and Sciences an avant-garde and futuristic museum complex.

Valencia has plenty of sights from over 2000 years of history, active cultural life, excellent local and international gastronomy, unique nightlife, good beaches, preserved traditional culture. The city is offering all this with well-developed tourist infrastructure, in a warm, friendly and welcoming environment.

The famous Spanish dish paella originated around Valencia.

The Conference will be organised in collaboration with Universidad Politecnica de Valencia

The venue of the event will be Universidad Politecnica de Valencia (UPV), flagship innovative University in the dynamic region, offering highly valued modern, flexible degrees for the local industry as well as internationally.
