The goal of the Short Papers sessions of the 2014 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics is to promote applied research and applications, as well as to facilitate collaboration between industrial and academic members of the SMC community. Innovations from industry are particularly encouraged. Reports on R&D work in progress can also be accepted if the work is novel, the preliminary results have been validated and are promising, and the contribution is valuable to the community.

Authors are invited to submit short papers (two-column format, 4 pages max) prior to the deadline. More details can be found on: http://smc2014.org/.
