Trust management is by nature a “horizontal” multi-disciplinary area that brings together communities that have been nurtured so far different “vertical” areas such as reputation systems,  security,  identity and access management, social networks, risk and compliance, formal models, legal IT, economics, etc. IFIPTM is a series of international conferences organised under the steering of the Trust Management Working Group of the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP WG11.11).

 

IFIPTM 2012 will be the 6th International Conference on Trust Management under the auspices of IFIP.  Previous IFIPTM conferences have taken place in Denmark, Japan, USA, Norway and Canada. This will be the first IFIPTM conference in India. IFIPTM conferences continue a successful series of events on trust management such as the events of the iTrust community in Europe at the dawn of the 21st century.

The mission of the IFIPTM 2012 Conference is to share research solutions to problems of Trust and Trust management, and to identify new issues and directions for future research and development work.

 

IFIPTM 2012 invites submissions presenting novel research on all topics related to Trust, Security and Privacy, including but not limited to those listed below:

 

Security, trust and privacy in Information Technology

- Trust-based and trust-aware IT policy management

- Trust social networks and emerging contexts

- Trust In collaborative applications, crowd-sourcing and wiki systems

- Economic modeling of trust, risk and control; economics of trusted data quality

- Large Identity Management Systems like UID/SSN, Banks, Mobile user groups

- Trust management for large user groups including machine and human participation

 

 

Submitted full papers must not exceed 16 pages in length, including bibliography and well-marked appendices; short papers must not exceed 8 pages in length. Submission will be through the EasyChair conference management system. Papers must be submitted as a single PDF file, formatted using the LNCS templates and style files available from http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs?SGWID=0-164-7-72376-0
