** Workshop description **
The aim of the University Technology Transfer of R&D
Innovations workshop is to bring together researchers, firms and
technology transfer practitioners to share knowledge on how to
convey results stemming from scientific and technological research
to the marketplace and to wider society, along with associated
skills and procedures that can create utility for the ones who
benefit from the use of project outcomes. This utility can be
expressed as benefits that go beyond the opportunity of making
money, and it usually involves performing a technical and market
assessment, protecting intellectual property rights, promoting,
negotiating, and reaching a commercial deal for a technical
solution that is novel, has industrial applicability and involving
an inventive step that moves knowledge and technology forward. To
disseminate and effectively exploit the project results in view of
reaching the market, works aiming to link R&D project
management and innovations technology transfer are welcome to this
workshop.
