Contributions are invited for a special issue of the Journal of Database
Management on Data and Information Security. Clearly data and information
are critical for the success of any organization. And with recent
advances in wireless commerce and increased dependence of businesses on
information and communication technologies, it has become important to
consider various aspects of protecting data and information. Authors
wishing to contribute to this special issue should focus on aspects of
data and information security as these relate to modern enterprises.
Representative topics include but are not limited to the following:
-Data and information security in emergent organizations
-Wed database security
-Mobile Commerce security
-Data privacy considerations in the virtual world
-Privacy in mobile communications
-Data back-up and recovery issues
-Security considerations for enterprise and server based storage
-Security of multi-level transactions
SUBMISSION PROCEDURE
All submissions will be double blind reviewed and must be received by
March 1, 2002. Submissions can be made electronically to the guest editor
at
dhillon@ccmail.nevada.edu.
