Enterprise software includes today, not only the already common ERP, CRM, SCM and many other application types, but also Manufacturing Execution Systems, Management Information Systems, Executive Decision Support Systems, and Smart Industry (cyber-physical) systems comprising software and dedicated hardware designed together, bringing IoT into the enterprise. All these kinds of enterprise systems support a part of the business functions of the enterprise, and this latter has lots of advantages of having these systems talking with each other, being integrated inside the enterprise and across business partners in a business value chain.
