*3-4 November 2011, Vienna, Austria*

 The VIRQUAL project invites you to the 4th S-ICT Conference “*Student
Mobility and ICT: Virtual Mobility*” http://www.ai.tuwien.ac.at/s-ict_2011/,
which will be held on the 3-4 November 2011 in Vienna (Austria). The
conference is organised by the VIRQUAL project in co-operation with Vienna
University of Technology and Maastricht University.

Virtual Mobility will be in the focus of presentations and discussions,
completed by topics like e.g. knowledge acquisition and construction in
e-learning, life-long learning, or description and assessment of learning
outcomes.

*CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS
*
We are looking for proposals within the following fields:

   1. Knowledge acquisition in e-learning and the role of social knowledge
   building in (distance) education.
   2. Knowledge construction in education context and Computer Supported
   Collaborative Learning (CSCL).
   3. Barriers to life-long learning and how to solve them.
   4. Innovative Web 2.0 tools to enhance education and learning.
   5. Good practices of describing and assessing learning outcomes.
   6. Good-practices of education that effectively handle the dimensions of
   acculturation, transition, remedial education, special education, and the
   combination with e-learning.

In order to take advantage of different fields of expertise in different
areas of learning, contributions of the following authors will be very
welcome:

   - Researchers and scholars on education and learning psychology,
   technology enhanced learning and communication sciences.
   - Practitioners in instruction and education matters.
   - E-learning researchers and scholars.
   - International officers, student recruiters, study abroad - and exchange
   advisors.
   - Teachers, tutors, managers of e-learning activities.
   - Decision makers and curriculum developers from HE and CE institutions.

We invite you to submit your contributions on-line by *16 August 2011*.
