--------------------------------------------------------------------------- CALL FOR PAPERS
3rd e-Negotiations Workshop at DEXA 02 September 2-6, 2002 Aix en Provence, France
"Negotiations in electronic markets - beyond price discovery" http://www.zurich.ibm.com/~mis/dexa02/e_negotiations2002.html
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are pleased to announce that the third e-Negotiations workshop will take place as part of DEXA 2002 (13th International Conference on Database and Expert Systems Applications) and invite you to participate in what promises to be another inspiring workshop.
Negotiations are believed to be an advantageous coordination mechanism for electronic markets that transcend the selling of commodities as well as for the coordination of complex interactions among organisations. However, most e-Commerce negotiation systems to date can only support price negotiations. This may be one of the reasons why current electronic markets struggle for acceptance, liquidity, and prosperity - traditional negotiations typically comprise the discussion of additional attributes of a deal such as delivery terms or payment conditions. Hence, support for complex multi-attribute negotiations may become a criti- cal success factor for the next generation of electronic markets and, more generally, for all types of commercial and non-commercial electronic exchanges.
