According to the World Health Organization (WHO), a well-functioning health system working in harmony is built on having
trained and motivated health workers, a well-maintained infrastructure, and a reliable supply of medicines and technologies,
backed by adequate funding, strong health plans and evidence-based policies. Effective laws and efficient legal component
are important bases in creation and setting up of health systems and public health policies. Challenges like communicable
and non-communicable diseases must have a legal component.
This session is specialised for researchers of different disciplines, data scientist, big data experts, policy makers and
clinicians, from academia and industry, oriented in solving the challenges by multisectoral approach. The session is linked
to Universal health coverage (UHC) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Data is a key issue of Agenda 2030 and main
goal of this session is to present novel approaches in modelling and usage of health big data. Target groups which could be
interested in this session: Governments, Public Health Experts, Policy Makers, Multi‐National Organizations, Statistical Bodies,
R&D Bodies, Civil Society, Private Providers, Health Providers, Health Managers, Academics and Scientists.
UHC is defined by WHO as ensuring that all people can use the promotive, preventive, curative, rehabilitative and palliative
health services they need, of sufficient quality to be effective, while also ensuring that the use of these services does
not expose the user to financial hardship.
The task of SDG 3 is to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
As we live in "data revolution" and new technologies, efficient usage of health data and evidence-based decision-making tools
can be used in implementation and monitoring of UHC and SDGs.
Topics for the workshop include, but are not limited to:

- Efficient health systems and SDGs

- Data driven modelling of health policies
- Innovative Big Data usage in UHC
- Security aspects in health systems and Big Data analytics
