This is the
Final call for papers for
the 3rd European
Conference on Social Media ECSM 2016 being hosted by EM
Normandie, Caen, France on the 12-13 July
2016.
This call will
close on
the 3rd December 2015.
There is no doubt,
social media have and will have a huge impact on our
societies …With social media, a stranger can become a
friend or a cyberbully in one click; a nobody can become a
star … even what we think true might just be the last buzz.
No sphere of our life (education, government, businesses…)
is spared. Connected yes … but connected to what, to whom,
for what and what might happen if you are not connected
Social media is being
adopted and applied in almost every area of human activity,
be it for personal applications, in education, for
commercial applications or in the public sector. The rapid
uptake of social media is related to many factors including
its ease of use and adaptability to different devices.
In addition to the
main conference topics, the advisory group invites
submissions to the following mini tracks:

Academic research, case studies
and work-in-progress/posters are welcomed approaches. PhD
Research, proposals for roundtable discussions,
non-academic contributions and product demonstrations
based on the main themes are also invited.

Publication
opportunity
Papers presented at the
conference will be published in the conference proceedings
subject to author
registration and payment.
Papers presented at the conference will be considered for
further development and publication in:
The Proceedings
have an ISSN, ISBN and will be submitted for indexing in
the Thompson Web of Science and Scopus and they are
listed in the EBSCO database.
