(Online/offline hybrid workshop in conjunction with ICIS 2022)
Blockchain technology is flourishing into a wide spectrum of
academic and industrial initiatives in many fields such as
banking, insurance, manufacturing, supply chain, education,
healthcare, government, etc. As a decentralized online ecosystem
based on blockchain, Web3 has gained a lot of attention in recent
years, which revolves around blockchain based technologies and
applications such as Decentralized Finance (DeFi), Non-Fungible
Tokens (NFTs), decentralized autonomous organization (DAOs), and
Metaverse. Many have argued that Web3 can be a potential solution
to the over-centralization of data and content in the Web 2.0 era,
while others have expressed concerns about the regulation issues
and new data ownership problems in a decentralized web.
The aim of this workshop is to provide a forum for scholars to
exchange novel research ideas and findings on Web3 technologies
and its applications.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
• Decentralized Finance (DeFi)
• Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT)
• Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAO)
• Metaverse analysis and design paradigms in various business
sectors
• Security and privacy issues for Web3 platforms
• Regulation and legal issues for Web3 platforms
• Design and implementation issues of Web3 platforms
• Blockchain applications in metaverse platforms
• Data management issues on blockchain
• Process management on blockchain
• Transaction mechanisms in cryptocurrencies
Important Dates:
• Submission Deadline: October 10, 2022
• Notification of Acceptance: October 31, 2022 • Final Version
Due: November 21, 2021
Submission Guidelines:
Due to COVID-19, we have decided to run this workshop in an
online/offline hybrid mode. The accepted abstract can be presented
online or in-person although in-person presentation is preferred.
Authors should submit a three-page extended abstract (including
figures, tables, and references) via EasyChair:
