*CALL FOR PAPERS===================================================Minitrack on Digital Transformation & Big Datahttp://amcis2018.aisnet.org/submissions/track-descriptions/#toggle-id-20 <http://amcis2018.aisnet.org/submissions/track-descriptions/#toggle-id-20> 25th The Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS 2018)August 16-18, 2018, New Orleans, LA, USA http://amcis2018.aisnet.org/submissions/call-for-papers/ <http://amcis2018.aisnet.org/submissions/call-for-papers/> Deadline for paper submissions: February 28th, 2018Description of Minitrack===================================================* *Organizations require accurate data for gaining insights of existing threats or business opportunities. With the growing volume of big data that has been provided by interconnected devices (e.g., Internet-of-Things), collaborative platforms (e.g., social media), and information systems, the information at hand has a great potential for transforming the entire business process, as well as for improving the accuracy of business decisions. Challenges here rely on understanding how digital transformations (e.g., changes in organizations’ business processes, models, end-users’ requirements, and information systems) are influenced, impacted, and modified by big data produced within and outside organizations. This mini-track invites studies centered on exploring challenges and opportunities that emerge from the interplay between digital transformation and existing big data. Conceptual, theoretical, technological, methodological, empirical contributions are encouraged, as well as research papers employing different methodologies, e.g., design-oriented research, case studies, and action research.* *Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:===================================================* Business process models for digital transformation and big data* Modelling the interplay of digital transformation and big data * Information systems and big data sources * Interoperability of information systems and big data sources for digital transformation* Challenges in digital transformation and big data * Opportunities for digital transformation and big data * Information systems for digital transformation and big data* Designing and modeling information systems for digital transformation and big data * Information systems architectures for digital transformation and big data * Information systems integration for digital transformation and big data * End-user perspectives in digital transformation and big data * ** Systematic reviews, mapping studies and survey research * ** Case studies / lessons learned / empirical resultsSubmissions Guidelines===================================================http://amcis2018.aisnet.org/submissions/types-of-submissions/ <http://amcis2018.aisnet.org/submissions/types-of-submissions/>Minitrack Co-Chairs:=============Dr João Porto de AlbuquerqueUniversity of Warwick, United Kingdomj.porto@warwick.ac.uk <j.porto@warwick.ac.uk>Dr Flávio E.
