About Eureka - 2013
Eureka - 2013
is the Fourth International Workshop on Knowledge
Discovery, Knowledge Management and Decision Support. It
aims to build on the success of the 2011 meeting in
Santander, Spain and bring together experts in the fields
of Knowledge Discovery (KD), Knowledge Management (KM) and
Decision Analysis (DA). Main goal will be to lay down new
focus on the KD, KM and DA research application, to
support solutions of real problems in society, business
and government.
It is
organized by the Eureka network
(www.eurekaiberoamerica.com), the Mexican
Society of Operations Research (SMIO) (www.smio.org.mx),
and the Universidad de Occidente (U de O) (www.udo.mx). It joins network partners from
23 research groups settled in Argentina, Brazil, Chile,
Colombia, Cuba, Germany, Spain, Mexico, Portugal and
Venezuela, as well as associated partners from further
countries, under the lemma "Making transdisciplinary
science and technology for business intelligence, towards
sustainable development".
In the
previous three editions Eureka has promoted and
contributed to the development of transdisciplinary
knowledge in the fields of Computational Intelligence,
Operations Research, Management Sciences and Business
Informatics, useful for KD, KM and Decision Support (DS)
in collaboration with local and international scientific
and academic organizations.
Invited key
lecturers for Eureka - 2013 are: Janusz Kacprzyk (Polish
Academy of Sciences, Poland), Hans Lenz (Free University
of Berlin, Germany), and Luis Martínez López (University
of Jaén, Spain), with participation of further leading
figures from the scientific circles expected.
Scope of the Workshop
We call for
full papers on novel aspects related to theory and
methodology, presenting contributions to KD, KM and DS, as
well as papers describing innovative applications in the
same fields. Topics may include: fuzzy logic, rough sets,
neural networks and metaheuristics for knowledge
discovery, knowledge management and decision support;
theory and models of multicriteria decision making and
optimization for knowledge discovery, knowledge management
and decision support; probabilistic, statistic and
stochastic methods for knowledge discovery, knowledge
management and decision support; ontology engineering;
business intelligence; business informatics.
Publication
Authors are invited to
submit original, full-length papers (maximum 15 pages) in
PDF format. Eureka - 2013 workshop submissions must be
made electronically via website:
www.easychair.org/account/signin.cgi?conf=eureka2013
. All accepted works will be published as full papers in a
proceedings book edited by Atlantis Press (www.atlantis-press.com
)*. Group of selected papers will be published in the
International Journal of Computational Intelligence
Systems (IJCIS) (www.atlantispress.com/publications/ijcis/
)**. Guidelines for the preparation of
contributions are available in the website of Eureka -
2013.
*Proceedings published by
Atlantis Press will be submitted to the relevant major
indexes, incl. EI/ Compendex and ISI-Technical
Proceedings.
**The International
Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems is included
in Scopus; ISI Science Citation Index®; ISI Science
Citation Index Expanded.
