R e s e a r c h T r a c k (please add to your favorites: http://www.bledconference.org/Call_for_papers.html )
The theme for this year’s conference is eCollaboration: Overcoming Boundaries Through Multi-Channel Interaction, a reference to the increasing importance of electronic collaboration and the rapidly developing opportunities for individual and organisational interaction made possible by new technology and re-configured processes. These changes not only support ever-closer cooperation amongst different types of organisations nationally and internationally, but are changing the whole shape of our society and the ways in which we interact. You are encouraged to propose a research paper, a panel, a workshop, or a meeting. Research papers should be original, unpublished elsewhere and no longer than 5,000 words in length. Detailed information about electronic submission and other issues will be available on the Conference web site. All accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings on the web (with ISBN and CIP number).
I m p o r t a n t D a t e s:
Submission of papers: February 15, 2008
Notification of acceptance March 31, 2008
Submission of final papers: April 28, 2008
At least one of the authors of accepted research papers and all members of accepted panels, workshops or meetings are expected to register in order to be included into the program.

The Bled eConference has been in operation longer than any other eCommerce event. It has made, and continues to make, substantial intellectual contributions to progress in “e” research and teaching. In recognition of this, an Outstanding Paper Award was instituted in 1999. The Award was established by a group of professors who have been long associated with the event. A panel of judges will select the winning author(s) from papers submitted to the Research Stream. The Award will be evidenced by a plaque presented to the author(s).

This conference attracts speakers and delegates from business, government, information technology providers and universities and is the major venue for researchers working in all aspects of “e”. There will be a variety of keynote speakers from industry, government and academe. The conference venue is the alpine village of Bled, 30 km south of the Austrian border - one of the most beautiful spots imaginable. Expect to learn and play and come away feeling that you have achieved more than you normally would at any other conference.
